EXPERT: |
● |
A rider may request an immediate upgrade to Expert status based on his/her racing experience. |

Expert status is required to ride in the Pro class. |
| |
INTERMEDIATE: |
● |
Any rider that has never won a STTARS Open Pro, Unlimited Expert or 450cc class main event may enter the Intermediate class. |
● |
Riders with Intermediate status may enter any class other than Beginner, Novice or Pro. |
● |
Winning an Intermediate class championship makes that rider no longer eligible to enter Intermediate the following year. |
NOVICE: |
● |
Any rider that has never won a STTARS main event (with at least 10 riders entered) may enter the Novice class. |
● |
Riders with Novice status may enter any class other than Beginner or Pro. |
● |
A top three finish in the Novice class championship makes that rider no longer eligible to enter Novice the following year. |
| |
BEGINNER: |
● |
Any amateur-level rider with one year or less supermoto racing experience may enter the Beginner class. |
● |
Any rider moving up from Mini-moto classes can start as a Beginner on the "Big" bikes. |
● |
A seasoned STTARS rider that has never finished 5th or better in a STTARS race (with at least 10 riders entered) can request reinstatement to Beginner status. |
● |
Beginner riders may also enter the following classes--Novice, 400AM, Vet 30/40 or any Mini-moto class. |
● |
Although points are tracked, the Beginner class is not a series championship class. Once a rider has earning 75 points in the Beginner class, the rider must advance out of the class. |
